Zillow 3D Home Tours

An interactive walkthrough that lives on your Zillow listing next to the photos — shot in the same visit as your photo session, across the Greater Houston Area.

What it is

A Zillow 3D Home Tour is a connected set of panoramas a buyer clicks through room by room, in the order they would walk the house. Zillow flags listings that have one, and for a buyer deciding whether a floor plan works before they drive across Houston, it answers the question the photos cannot: how the rooms actually connect.

What it is not

It is not a replacement for listing photography. The panoramas are wide, functional and slightly distorted by nature — they are for navigating, not for the hero image on your flyer. A 3D tour works alongside a photo set, not instead of one. Any photographer who tells you otherwise is selling you the cheaper job.

When it is worth it

  • Multi-storey homes and townhomes where the vertical layout is hard to explain
  • Unusual or additive floor plans that photos make look disjointed
  • Listings marketed to relocation and out-of-town buyers
  • Vacant properties where a buyer has no furniture to judge scale against

For a small, single-level home with a conventional layout, the standard photo set plus a 2D floor plan usually does the same work for less money.

Questions

Zillow 3D tours, answered.

What is a Zillow 3D Home Tour?

An interactive panoramic walkthrough that a buyer can click through room by room. It sits on your Zillow listing alongside the photos, and Zillow marks listings that have one.

Does it replace listing photos?

No. A 3D tour is a navigation tool, not a marketing image — the panoramas are not the photos a buyer saves or that you put on a flyer. It works best added to a standard photo session, not instead of one.

How long does it add to the shoot?

It depends on the square footage and the number of rooms, since each space needs its own scan position. I will tell you the realistic on-site time when you send the address.

What does it cost?

Pricing on request — send me the address and square footage and I will quote it.

Which homes benefit most?

Multi-storey homes, unusual layouts and properties being marketed to out-of-town buyers. For a small single-level home, the photo set plus a floor plan usually does the same job for less.
