Katy is master-planned community territory, and that changes what a listing has to prove. When a buyer is choosing between four similar floor plans on nearby streets, the photos are not competing against bad photos — they are competing against other good photos of near-identical houses.
What separates a Katy listing is usually the lot and the setting: the greenbelt behind it, the distance to the amenity centre, the cul-de-sac position, the water view. Those are aerial shots, and they are the reason I recommend drone coverage here more often than almost anywhere else in the Houston area.
Inside, new and nearly-new homes photograph well but flatly. I shoot to give rooms depth — layering foreground and background rather than standing in the corner and capturing everything at once — so a kitchen reads as a space rather than as a specification list.
Turnaround matters in a market with this much inventory. Photos come back the next business day as standard, so a Monday shoot is live on HAR Tuesday.
